Fast-food restaurants are some of the easiest places to work, but the term “easy” can have a variety of meanings. For the sake of comparison, we can break down the term easy into five categories: hiring, labor, work-life balance, pay and morale. The following is some information that has come up regarding the ease of fast-food jobs and which establishment is the best one to work at:
All fast-food establishments have a generally easy hiring process, but McDonald’s takes the cake. An interested person can possibly go into a branch today and leave with a job today. The reason is that the turnover rate is so massive that such establishments always need employees. Many of them do not perform drug tests, criminal background checks or employment checks. The downside is that they have a lot more personality types that come together under the same roof.
Chipotle is an establishment that employees hold in high regards. It received a rating of four stars from more than 5,000 people who used to work there or are still working there. The biggest point of praise was that the management staff and co-workers were easy to work with. The people who surround an employee every day can make a huge difference in how that person experiences life as an employee. Chipotle seems to be one of those places that is different. It may be easier to handle than some of the other fast-food establishments are.
The majority of fast-food establishments pay extremely low wages, but there is a rare circumstance every now and again where an employee will fall upon a gem. In-N-Out Burger has been known to offer its employees $10.50 an hour or more. That’s almost unheard of for non-management positions in the fast-food realm. Sometimes it’s even unheard of for people who are managers.
Employees loved working for Chick-Fil-A so much that they left high ratings on various platforms. One of the reasons that they rated it so highly was the fact that they offered a consistent day off every week. The free food was another reason they loved the establishment. Additionally, Chick-Fil-A is a faith-based establishment, so they carry themselves with high standards as employers.
Some KFC chains have to go by the new regulations that say that they must make their employee schedules two weeks in advance. With that much advance, a person could easily maintain a balance between work, home life, school and other responsibilities that may come up. KFC gets the win for work-life balance even if they did have to be forced to provide a good one.
Every restaurant has some good points that would lead some people to call it the easiest fast food restaurant to work at. However, if the world had to choose just one establishment that excelled in many categories, the winner would be In-N-Out Burger.
